For those of us that don’t have the beautiful countryside on our doorsteps, podcasts can be a great escape. Here are a few ideas:

The Times’ Walking the Dog podcast - Emily Dean takes some of her friends for a walk with their dogs. They talk about the weird, the wonderful, the funny and the extraordinary.

The National Trust podcast - loads of episodes here — from walks in the countryside, to hidden histories of the landscape or even learning the juicy details of Apple grafting.

Living Adventurously - author and adventurer Alastair Humphreys decided to spend a month cycling around Yorkshire, interviewing adventurous people from 2m away along the way!
